At some point in our modern lives, we reach a point where we wonder how our lives got to be the way they are. For some, this is a great and uplifting point of reflection, but for many, myself included, this point of reflection is a heavy realization of how stuck we feel.
What holds us down can take many shapes. We find it easy to identify negative things like debt, stress, work, and health problems, but the irony is that we can be equally trapped by positive things such as social obligations, extracurricular activities, religious commitments, and even friends and family.
Before we know it, our lives are so full that not only can not add anything else, but we also can’t succeed at the things that we’re already committed to. Our quality of life suffers and the quality of work we do slumps. Ultimately the gravity of it all holds us down and makes us feel like change and progress are impossible.
This blog is about escaping the pull of gravity that tries to keep us all down and finding flight in creating a new life based on what is truly important to you. It’s a blog about your journey, my journey and how we can all work through the challenges to build an amazing life.
I’m excited to not only write about this subject but also to read the experiences of others. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
